A female United States age 26-29, *mantha writes:

Last year I liked this guy and we hung out once. We really liked each other but I knew that he had a "thing" with another girl and I really liked this other guy.

We hung out all day and all night, but he asked me to hang out with him the next day but I was going to my aunt's house so I told him no, but on monday I realized that I liked the other guy more than I liked him. So I stopped talking to him. After a year of not talking I got my heart broken and he got a girlfriend. What im trying to say is that I really miss him and I want him back, but im not sure how to and if he will even want to give it another try?

You made your choice and it went wrong for you. Now you want him.

I will tell you if I were him I would reject you even if I was single. I guess most people doesn't like being the second option. Something like "I liked the other guy but he was a total jerk. Now that I know that, I will give you a try." No, girl, I don't think so. It's disrespectful.
