A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Am I being silly or should i be feeling like this?

Do you think he's going off me?

I want honest answers please!

My boyfriend cheated on his last girlfriend and so i can sometimes be a bit worried about who he's with. He has this friend Emelie and they talk loads, meet up quite a bit but he said hes never been with her on her own. i got upset about this situation before and he said i was being stupid and pathetic so hesitate

to talk to him about it. This cooled off, his parents however dont like him hanging around with her and told him he isnt allowed because hes got a girlfriend. a few months a go he told me this and blamed it all on me, this really upset me so i told her i dont have a problem with them meeting up as i convinced myself this as my boyfriend made me feel like i was a rubbish girlfriend.

However, yesterday, i saw him with her alone, and they walked passed me, they were really funny with me, Emelie gave me evils and then Stephen didnt really say anything to me look at me just gave me a weird look, a few days earlier we were camping and he was with another girl and i went up to him he didnt hug me, touch me, say anything or look at me. ive told him he acts funny with me and he knows he does he said "it was awkward" "because you dont really know eachother" "im allowed to be with friends"

but surely if you really loved someone you would make them feel special and loved no matter who your with?

My parents think i should leave him, its like im constantly being picked up and dropped when he feels like it. but i really love him more than ive loved anyone.

i dont know what to do and what to think?

This guy doesn't sound reliable at all, he isn't treating you as boyfriends should. A boyfriend is supposed to make you feel that you're the only girl in the world for him and he should show that he cares as often as possible. Your parents are right, take their advice, you know for a fact that they DO love you. I don't know for definite if he's going off you, but if I were in your position I'd definitely go off him! There are a lot better guys out there who will appreciate you and show you the respect you deserve. x

Blod agony auntI don't think he's treating you right at all. When the boyfriend you love calls you pathetic and makes you feel worse about yourself, there's something wrong. It definitely sounds like there could be something going on between him and this Emelie girl in my opinion. But regardless, a boyfriend shouldn't treat you like this. He should try to make you feel special and loved as you said. I know it's hard because he means so much to you, but I think it's time to end it with him. There's someone better out there for you somewhere!
