writes:hi. i am haveing a little trouble with this. i like my best friends little brother and he like me too. i am going on 20 and he is a year and a month younger then me. i met my best friend when we were 15 and her brother has liked me since then and i started liking him when i was 16. i never acted on it because i loved our friendship and didnt want to make things awkward but since we are all grown up now what should i do? we both really like eachother and i can see myself being with him for a long time, but my bff knows nothing about it. please help

 Look, if it wasn't your friend's brother you'd go for it right? I'm sure your friend would understand. You need to think about yourself and your happiness. if you think you'd be happy with him then tell your friend. Say you wanted to ask her if it was ok first, then she'll be glad you're respecting her views :) Just be prepared for awkwardness if you broke up with him. If you know your friendship would be ok no matter what then there's nothing to stop you :D

 Well, let me just say that you should never let age be a factor in relationships. Though of course, if the 20 year old you likes a 70 year old man, there defo has to be a problem hahaha! :). A year and a half younger is very much fine!What I reckon you should do now is to tell your best friend about your feelings for her brother. If she's really your best friend, I'm sure that she will be very supportive of you anyway, so you don't have much to worry about. :) if she's against it for whatever reasons, you're gonna have to think about it. Which one do you think is more important to you; friends or lovers? And act on it. But otherwise, I'm pretty sure she'll be fine with the idea! Then, follow your heart and tell him that you like him! Since he likes you too, you shouldnt worry too much about it either! Good luck girl!
