You got to be really sure you like a guy before going after them. First you liked Alberto, then because Jean Carlo liked you, you forgot about Alberto and was willing to date him. These two guys are friends, they are looking out for each other. Jean Carlo wanted to make sure that you weren't playing games, and by your response will do everything in his power to make sure that Alberto stays away.

I would leave the situation for a while and do nothing. Maybe Alberto will like you, maybe Jean Carlo does like you. These things don't matter. What matter is that you choose a guy you like and stick to liking him only. Until this happens, your better off staying on your own.
