Okay, big problem;

I have a BAD habit of lying a lot. Usually they're just little white lies and it's not that big of a deal. I just did something really stupid.

So me and my friend are getting teased by this guy who we both can't stand, and he's been spreading around that we're a lesbian couple. So, I randomly came up with this story where he said to me in the hall way "what's it like to eat out her pussy!?" and everyone laughed. I have NO idea why I made it up. And later I told my friend about it and she freaked out and told all of our friends, who told their friends and so on. So tomorrow at school, everyone is going to confront him about it, and it was something he didn't do! I'm so scared and nervous and GAH! I hate that I do this but it's never gotten me in trouble until today.

What should I do???

Lying is a sign of low self-esteem, and wanting to make your life appear more interesting than it is. However, good for you for acknowledging that you have a problem. It's an indication that things could get worse, so nip it in the bud, before little lies turn into big ones. If you need additional help, seek assistance form a guidance counselor or clergyman/woman. Save your self from future embarassment and hurt, yourself and someone else's.

I used to lie a lot too until I did something a hell of a lot worse than you! I sent out invitations to about 10 friends that my sister was having a b-day party and that it was an over night. Well I'm pretty sure i said maybe in the invite, but any way no one rsvped so i didn't think anything of it until the day of and all these girls showed up and I had to explain it to my mom. Plus this one girl got sick and couldn't go home because her parents were out of town so my poor mother had to take care of a sick teenager as well as deal with being sick herself. She wasn't too happy. Haven't lied since. I think you should take this as a hint to stop now before you end up hurting others.

jessica04 agony auntJust own up to it and stop with the lies, especially when they can so easily be disproved. That's all that can really be done, otherwise this is just going to get into a big "he said-she said" thing.

It's embarrassing for sure but you might just have to come clean with the lie that you told. This is a good lesson in never exaggerate the truth. Who cares what one guy thinks? You don't like him or respect his opinion do you? You will find as you get older that the most admired or "cool" people are the people that don't get so excited about what people think and say.

The next time some guy says something like that to you just say "add it to your fantasies". Embarrass them and don't dirty yourself with their crap.

KARMA. Everything bad thing you do, someway, somehow will come back and bite you in the ass! yours just took longer.

I hope THIS will teach a lesson. Though, this guy is definatley wrong too, unfortunatley I have no real solution for you.. the best thing to do is to just come clean and say you lied..

looks like it's actually the only thing really.

best of luck in the future.
