I lent him money and haven't seen him since, do you think he'll get back in touch?

Myself and this guy (who was currently out of work but temporarily living with his girlfriend) got on well but I was so in love with him and afraid of losing touch with him that I offered him money to help him out financially!!

Well, needless to say he stayed in touch and borrowed some money - but now I'm desperate to hear from him again and he hasn't rung for a while!!

I know people are gonna say I'm daft for lending him money ( I would probably say it myself if I wasn't blindly in love with this guy)! - But I can't get him out of my mind and would do anything for him!

Do you think there is a chance he will get back in touch?

A female reader, Tigerlily United States +, writes (15 November 2008):

You are in love with an unemployed guy who lives with his girlfriend. Okay right there that is a recipe for heartbreak. To get closer to him you lent him money. You are trying to buy his affection and gratitude. Would that work on you? Could a guy make you fall madly in love with him because he lent you money?

So he has a girlfriend, he knows you like him, he owes you money that he can't repay now because he's not working... if you were him would you call?

Darlin' we have all fallen for the unavailable guy. We can't help who we like. But it doesn't work. Please before you put yourself through any more pain and disappointment let this one go. Move on and find a guy who can be there for you.
