I keep thinking we could be more ...

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

i'm a 16 year old girl in my second year of high school. ok so hears my problem, i really likke this guy. i mean like i really like him. i always think of him and i'm always jealous when he talks to other girls. well at the end of last year we almost went out, but in the end we didn't. we got really close at the end of last year. well i still like him this year and he knows that, but i found out he still likes his ex-girlfriend from last year. i know we're just friends, but i keep thinking we could be more, because he did like me last year and i keep thinking i might have another chance once he's over his ex. well anyway, i just dont know what to do, if i should keep trying to get him to like me or to get over him. i've tryed my then i keep thinking that i shouldn't. please help.

petina1 agony auntKeep him close to you and wait and see. Be his friend, his confident, show him you care. Over time you will also be finding out if he really is what you want for yourself. Eventually you could help him get over his ex and he will see that you really do care. Good Luck, Hope this helps.

I liked my now boyfriend for about three years before we were going out, during this time i was always stayed as a close friend.

This could work both ways in that you might wait forever or it could show that with perseverence you will get his affection.

If anything just be careful you don't seem completely desperate, but don't try too much to make him jealous, he may get the wrong idea of you.
