Minelisse agony auntYup it could be because of the weight. Girls who are overweight or underweight might suffer from amenorrhea (loss of menstruation)-you can google that for more information along with overweight-.

In the case of overweight women it is because they tend to have excess amounts of body fat. As a result, their bodies produce too much estrogen, interfering with the regular process of ovulation and menstruation. In any case, you should really consult this with your doctor so he/she can prescribe contraceptive pills which usually help regulate it.

Good luck!

Hi. You missing your period does not seem like a sign of cancer. Usually a symptom of cancer is weight loss. You probably have fluctuations in your hormonal levels due to stress or personal problems like you said. I would advise you to go to a doctor. Don't worry it doesn't seem like it could be anything cancerous. Did you gain a lot of weight due to diet, or was it without diet. I advise you to go see a doctor, she will put you on birth control pills in order to regulate your menstrual cycle. Best of luck, and please keep me informed.
