I have confidence issues because of an ex, and although I have had other partners, this has remained a problem!

I dated a close friend 6 months ago. Were still quite close as we have the same friends at college and are in the same class. Its very complicated but basically he has been quite mean in the past, lowering my confidence about my body etc, but i just can't get over him. I've had boyfriends since, but i still get upset about it and i never used to get upset, i was always so confident and happy, now i cry at home all the time. Its been so long, how do i get over him? There must be a way!
