 That's actually much larger than average. Most women don't even want anything bigger than 6 or 7 long because it hits their cervix and it's painful. I have no idea where this idea that women want a huge dick comes from (porn maybe?) but a large one actually hurts and makes sex an ordeal sometimes. Like it takes so much "warm up" and lube to get it in that most would really prefer an average sized one. Though of course I can't speak for all women. Bigger is NOT better for most though. Cerberus makes a lot of really good points. Though in response to the breast size thing, our breast size is a much worse insecurity because our breast size is always visible to everyone else, plus our breasts are considered a main part of our body appearance. Penis size is really only visible when naked and doesn't contribute to how your whole body looks.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 May 2010): You can't, that's a natural insecurity we guys have because we're told constantly in many ways that size matters and it does to a certain degree. It's similar to the insecurity that women have about their weight, although that insecurity is far worse because women are constantly bombarded with images and ideas that skinny is beautiful, when we all know it's only one form of beauty.
You're a good size but even if you were smaller it wouldn't matter too much.
It really doesn't matter to most women as much as performance does, I have a friend with an abnormally small penis 3 inches erect and he's married now 5 years and has no problem pleasing his wife or having children.
Women like big penis' because they create greater sensation during pentration, they 'fill them' if you know what I mean and hit more spots at the same time but this also means that the potential for pain is greater and so a guy with a big one has to be more tentative in his use of it.
Guys that I know with big ones like the reaction they get from girls but when it comes to the act they often find it a hindrance as they can't really have rough sex without it creating too much pain or damage. So they're limited to slow and easy with most girls.
The penis insecurity is like womens breast insecurity, supposedly bigger is better, but you know this isn't true as us guys like all shapes and sizes of breast, well the same is true for women and penis'. Variety is the spice of life.
