 There are these things, they are called punctuation. They serve to separate words into sentences. The type of punctuation you use can turn a statement into a question. I would suggest learning how to use them.
As for gift ideas, we have nothing to go on here. You didn't tell us anything about your boyfriend. Nobody here knows him or what he likes, so we can't be much help I'm afraid. Why not try asking his parents if he's given them any ideas. They might have some suggestions.
