 Well its hard to tell if your conversation is odd because I don't know how he usually talks to you.
However, I recently found out that just because a date goes amazing in one party's eyes it doesn't mean the other feels it too, even if they say so. (hey, people lie all the time, especially to spare feelings, in the case of more cowardly people)
He's still talking to you and that's a wonderful sign. If a guy really didn't want to see you again at all, he probably wouldn't keep talking to you. He may be having a bad day and seem off, it might be all in your head. who knows, but if you think he still seems off for the next week towards you then either confront him or move on.
You're plenty young and there are millions of cute guys out there. Good luck!
