A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Dear Cupid~

I've liked this guy for years, literally. We're both in high school, he's kind of perfect even though he obviously has imperfections. But I accept him and, when we talk, he seems to accept mine. I swear we connect in a way I've never felt before.

Let's call this guy Rufus, and my name shall be Lola. So we don't talk *that* much...we're friends, but not really good ones. ;) Anyway, we were talking the other day and it was a lot of fun. Lots of laughing and happiness. On facebook later, Rufus comments on a picture my sister took of me for a photo contest and comments: "Wow when did you start modeling" and "pretty." He always laughs at my jokes and we get a long.

BUT ever since he called me/the picture pretty, not sure which one, he hasn't really talked to me...:[ How am I supposed to feel? I recently got over him because he and I just hadn't gotten to a romantic level and I was sick of waiting for him to notice me. plus, he's pretty weird. (My friend says that's why I like him so much. _) But now I'm not sure...I don't want to be disappointed again but I don't want to send him the message that I'm not interested because I am...I'm just afraid.?

aunt honesty agony auntOk well after he sent you this comment he felt pretty weird in case you laughed at him or in case he would get rejected so he put some distance there between you both to protect his own feelings.

You like him right? Well then go for it, you ask him out and dont be waiting around for him to do it take the first step and at least then you will no either way.
