A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out if I should worry about being pregnant. Here are the things that I have been feeling, I would tell my friends but I am too embarrassed and I don't want to shock them or seem worried about this if I shouldn't be. This is not something to take lightly ya know.

Well I had a bit of a one night stnad about a month and a half ago. The guy was nice, we messed around and he left. I haven't heard from him since. Now end of story I thought, then I started to feel weird and I was like hmm. So I called my first boyfriend, who is one of my best friends and he was really worried about it and supprotive and basically is on my side/will take care of me so I'm really happy about that, but I'm scared I'm pregnant because I keep having these weird things occur - around the time my period was supposed to come a little early actually, it was really light and stopped for like a day and then started back up and just stopped so I guess it was spotting.

Then I have been so tired lately and moody, like I get irritated easily and I cry over the most random stuff. I saw a christmas tree and I cried and I couldnt stop and I'm constipated a lot, and I've been sick off and on for like 2 weeks and it's not cuz I worried! I didn't think anything of it until today when I started to put the pieces together.

So now I'm scared and I don't know what to do! What do you all think?

Well, this is gonna sound a little personnal but, do your boobs hurt? REALLY bad?! That is one of the first signs in pretty much everyone. It's still hard to tell you really need to take a pregnancy test. They sell them pretty much anywhere or you could go to your cities family planning, family resource even alot of local clinics will do the test for free and won't notify your parents. That is still YOUR job. And remember there are several options, pregnancy is not the end of the world. If keeping it is an option just tink of how costly baby stuff is and ask yourself how much is mom (grandma) gonna be willing to babysit so you can finish growing up? Another option is adoption and that doesn't have to be cut and dry there are open adoptions where you can still be a part of your babies life but, he/she will be with a family that is TRUELY ready for children. And last there is abortion which is also a life long decision one that will haunt you for ever.Especially if you do any kind of research on how the dr's do it.These things go alittle more in depth of your question BUT if your sexually actice EVEN once these things need to be thought about.I truely hope everything works out for you!!!!Best of luck.

Miss.Confused agony auntAll those things that you are feeling could lead to pregnancy...it all sorta makes sense buht to make sure go take a pregnancy test and you'll know for sure... If it turns out you are pregnant you should tell your parents n maybe even your friends they will be there for u every step..i can bet on it. Just take a pregnancy test to have a peace of mind. angelblueeyes agony auntHi,

The first thing i would do is to go to the chemist/GP and get a pregnancy test, you could just let time pass & keep guessing but realisticly doing a test is the only way of knowing for sure.

Monthly cycles can change around from time to time and can bring different symptoms with it, also your body will react differently when you are stressed out about things.

The symptoms you have described are simular to pregnancy but being tired, teary eyed and constipated normally appears in the later stages of pregnancy, morning sickness tends to appear roughly between 4-12 weeks, however everyone is different, i had really painful breasts so bad that if they were touched i wanted to die.

Hope i have helped you a bit & good luck

Sickness, moodiness and constipation are all linked to pregnancy, and light bleeding around the time period is due can be from the egg implanting into the womb, so perhaps you are pregnant. The only way you'll know for sure is to take a test.

I think you should take a pregnancy test to find out. You can go to the doctor for one, or buy a home one at the chemist. If it's negative then you can relax and move on and if it's positive you can begin making plans.

If it does turn out you're pregnant, I'm sure your friends will want to be there for you.

If you had unprotected sex it may be worth also having an STD test.

I hope thigs turn out well for you
