I don't know if he really wants a relationship?

Hi, sorry for my bad typing.... I met a guy in the city where i live but he lives 400 miles away from me we visit each other once a month, he introduced me to his family at the first month that i met him not the whole family but his mother and his brothers and he s been very special with me but i dont understand him sometimes because he tryes to push me away and then pull me back and every weekend he drinks a lot and call me every weekend and he says while he is durnk that he loves me but when he is sober he never say that word, my question is does he really want something more than a friendship or not?? because he says that he are scare to be hurt but i told him tha he has to open his heart he broke up with his longtime gf more than a year ago so he says that he s over her. what can i do i really really love him :(, pd: he s 31 yrs old.

He isn't really over her, and his drinking isn't going to help at all. You need to sit him down when he is sober and ask him want he wants out of this relationship. The only way to find out is to talk to him when he is sober.
