A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (5 July 2008):

What would happen if you said "my friends are going on holiday and have invited me so I'm off to Corfu for a week?"

If the answer is that he'd have a huge hissy fit then he's not worth being with. But you haven't said that. You've said that you just go round to his house.

You can't blame him for the fact you are acting like a 50 year old married couple. You are the one who keeps going round there.

Go out with your mates. Go on girly holidays. I really don't understand what is stopping you.

Good Luck!! xx
