A male , anonymous writes:

About eight months ago I was going out with a girl I met through one of my friends. I started going out with her and she hooked another one of my friends up with her younger sister.

When we were going out we hardly ever got on without arguing and I think she was still on the rebound from her ex. We went out for about four months, but towards the end of the relationship her sister started texting me, saying she liked me and I realised I liked her too.

We ended up kissing behind our partners' backs. Then they got suspicious. They broke up, but because she didn't really like my mate and I denied it to my girlfriend, which she believed in the end, but we broke up a few weeks later.

I still have feelings for her sister and we've dated a couple of times, but nothing more, as she's constantly on and off with her new boyfriend. But I met her sister my ex in the pub the other day and we got talking and she was really nice and seemed to have changed a lot. She asked me to ring her and now wants to meet up.

Do you think there's any chance it could work, given everything that's happened between us?

kellyO agony auntDearie, my own advise is that the relationship has gotten way complicated. you should realise that she isnt even aware that you had a relationship with her sister which is entirely unfair on your part. You also indicated here that u still have feelings for her sister. Supposing her sister finally decides to end the relationship with her boyfriend and decides to play for you once again what now happens. You cant build up a relationship on deceit and she is bound to find out sooner or later.

I would suggest you rethink through the entire situation. Perhaps it might be better for you to just be her friend. I dont see how a relationship with her will work.

Take care and all the best.
