Me and my boyfriend have been in a relationship for 3 years. This all started a year ago when he started to like putting nail polish on and wear heels and nylons. I learnt he had transvestic fetishism which I accepted and moved on... Well last night he forgot to delete the pictures he took of himself with my make up on and dressed up like a girl. I immediately freaked out because I don't know whats going on. He is so manly and no one would ever think he would be doing something like that. Does this mean he's gay? Please help me I am a little scared. I love him so much and want to accept this but I need to know what this is. He won't talk to me and feels very ashamed.

A female reader, Miamine United Kingdom +, writes (30 August 2010):

Miamine agony auntAs you said, he's got a transvestite fetish. Transvestite's are usually straight heterosexual guys and only like to have sex with girls. He likes make up and woman's clothes. That doesn't make him gay, that doesn't make him want to be a woman. That's a man who likes to dress up in woman's clothes. I don't know any gay men who like to dress in women's clothes or wear make up and nail varnish.

Yes, it's very shocking. But millions of men are like this. They love the clothes, the make up and shoes. Most men that dress like this are actually very manly. Of course he's embarrassed, so please, please don't make fun of him. He knows he's a man, he knows he loves you, he knows he loves sex with you, he just likes to wear your clothes as well.

Maybe he is gay, maybe hes not. But I sure as hell would be suspicious. Let him know that you are there for him and that you care and that you just want to know whats going on. Im sure its a pretty sticky situation to be in...
