reader, anonymous, writes (20 August 2008): Principally a three year age year shouldn't be a issue. However I think then the age of consent in California is 18? If it is then you will have to wait a year before you can (legally) have sex but otherwise I don't see a problem x

 Ok so in december he is going to be 17 and you will be 20, personally i don't think that this is to much of an age gap to be honest, its only a little over 3 years. If you are both ok with this small age gap then i don't see any reason why you both should not date.
