reader, anonymous, writes (3 February 2009): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionim not trying to get in her pants. we've met a few times over the course of 6months going cinema...making out etc. we talk frequently..and she is really comfortable with me.
She keeps asking me when im going to invite her...in a jokey way. Im the kind of guy that takes one thing as it comes, if she wants to take things further thats her choice. i was thinking of gettin some drinks but that might lead to unwanted actions later on..so i'll ask her if shes up for a drink.
we are not in a relationship, we just taking it nice and slow..i'll know when shes ready for a relationship because she doesnt want one right now but just likes to make out every so often.

If you've been on a date before then this shouldn't be a problem just simply ask her. I would defo go with you offering to cook as this shows you are making the effort but keep it all chilled as you dont want it to look like your only inviting her round to put out... maybe watch a film or play a game or something... playing a game means you can get to know each other so you dont have to just sit there in silence. If you haven't been on a date before maybe give her the option... ask her id she would like to meet up if she agrees then say well we could go out and get something to eat and then may the flicks or a club for a few drinks or i'l cook dinner and we can get a film to watch at mine... that way the ball is totally in her court and she wont feel presurised into coming to yours if she doesn't feel comfortable.... good luck x x

By female friend, do you mean a girl that is your friend, or a girl you've met that you want to get into her pants?
If it's a girl who's your mate then there should be no problem. Just ask her round to watch a film or hang out.
If it's a girl who you want to have sex with at some point then asking her back to yours as a first date is:
a) cheap
b) confusing as it looks like you just want casual sex
c) a cop out
Ask her on a date if you like her, don't just try and get her back to yours to get her pissed enough to sleep with you.

 Well you've not given us much to work with here, how well do you know this "Female", I'm guessing you don't want her to come round to play a HALO death match with? So I'm also assuming that your intentions aren't entirely honourable are they?
So you can not make out that you have sweeties or kittens, that's just a trap! She has to know that you want to take some kind of diabolical liberties with her knees. If you ask her round for dinner that is obviously some kind of date, which indicates to her what you are after. (This is a good thing)
So invite her round for some drinks and a meal, if you really want her to come round, and you are being honourable, why not get a mutual friend or two to come round as well (that's a bit less creepy). Once she has been round to your place and checked it out, the next time she will be more likely to come round by herself.
Do not be offended if she doesn't want to go to your place straight away, as I said it's better if she has been around before with a group of friends, then she is in familiar territory next time she comes to see you.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 February 2009): The best way is to casually say that you are cooking dinner and have got the latest dvd would she like to come over and watch the movie and have dinner. DONT make it sound like you just want her there for sex cos that is what will go through her mind. If you land up having sex and both are consenting, well thats okay, but dont put any pressure on her.
