A reader, anonymous, writes (7 March 2007):

If your not as confident to ask her out without knowing she's interested, check out her body language. It can give a lot of information, for example, if she is trirling her hair when speaking to you then she is interested in you. If she fumbles her words and comes accross as slightly nervous it can be a sign that she is trying to impress you and is nervous she will make an ass of herself. there are amillion other signs too! good wishes

A female reader, Ask Heather +, writes (6 March 2007):

Ask Heather agony auntGosh, Count yourself lucky that you seem to be surrounded by so many flirty females! Why not try flirting along too, and see what the reaction is; if you don`t get the cold shoulder you can always "test the water" with would you like a drink / a date / a dance / what`s your name, or whatever. If she`s not interested in taking it further, she will politely decline (perhaps in a flirty way). If she IS interested, you will know! Good Luck & Best Wishes, Heather.
