it has been a few years since me and my boyfriend got together...things havent been going all to well here lately. and when i try to talk to him, all he wants to do is touch me, and so on. how do i tell him i have lost the desire to do things with him? i just know it is going to be difficult for me to have a conversation like this with him...what would the easiest way be, without causing an uproar?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (30 July 2008):

That must get pretty annoying when you are trying to have a conversation with him and he starts touching you up. I think a well timed "Do you see me as ANYTHING more than a sex doll?" might actually make him listen to you for once.

Tell him you are sick of it. Tell him you want to talk for once. Smack his hand. It's a privilege for him to touch you not a right.

Boyfriends generally don't realise anything is wrong until you snap at them.

Get him to realise you want something more than just sex, if he can't deliver on that then it's time to move on, but give him a chance to back off a bit first.

Good Luck!! xx
