My birthday is coming up and am wondering how to react when my ex (still have feelings for her) calls or sends me a text. And what if she doesn't send at all? Its been over 6 weeks but just 2weeks out of contact. Rumours has it that she is seeing someone else.

 If she is seeing someone else chances are she's not going to call/text you a "Happy Birthday". Not to mention she's your EX. Don't expect anything from her.
However, in the rarity you do get well wishes from her, then take it as her being friendly and stop looking further into it. I presume you want more and you're not over her. Keep up the no contact, it's the only way (slow process) to help you get over your ex.
