is she testing the waters with you, then backing off when you bite?
she knows that you are interested in persuing something with her, yet she flirts and then begs innocence.
Just tell her in no uncertain terms to stop. If she is a work related colleague, then if you need to discuss business do only just that. do not fall for her trap, she is making an idoit of you. if you continue to engage in her flirty ways then you are just that. an old idoit who has not learnt the lessons of life. I really do not know what her intentions are, although your is loud and clear. she is enjoying your flattery but backing away all the time. she is what is called a "TEASE"

 If she tells you not to take her the wrong way when you make advances, it normally means she DOESN'T want a relationship with you!
It sounds like she sees you as a freind so don't spoil that by coming on to her.
