How do I find out if they're going to the dance? And what about this language issue?

Hey all! This is a two-part question. So, in my theatre class there are three exchange students from the Czech Republic. Two of them are pretty attractive, but I've only talked to one of them a few times (but he seems nice and all). They don't take the class very seriously, and sometimes I catch one of them staring at me. It kinda creeps me out a little, but its also flattering. I'd like to get to know them, but the thing is: english is their second language. They aren't perfect with it, and I know ZERO czech. I was wondering if anyone who has/is dating someone who speaks their second language to you. Also, my school has this dance coming up. We've had homecoming and our winter informal already, and our Sadie Hawkins dance was cancelled, so this is basically my last dance of the year. It's not a date-type dance, and it's informal. So, being that I don't know thhem very well, what would be a non-creepy way to ask them if they're going?

Aunty BimBim agony auntYou approach them together and say something along the lines of "are you planning on going to the dance, you can hang out with me if you don't have anybody else to hang out with".

There are three possible answers,

1 we dont plan on going, and you say that's a shame they are usually good fun

2 we are going with XXX, and you say that's great, maybe I'll see you there

3 that would be great, where shall we meet!
