writes:*OPs own title*Hi:)im a 15 year old girl, and i've liked the same guy for almost a year now. me and him are REALLY good mates (he's like my best friend) and he knows i like him, and he's recently told me there may be a chance between us. im pretty sure i love him, but what i really want to know is whether or not i am in love with him. i've tried researching it on the interent but all the advice lines seem to be about being in love with someone whilst being with them (in a relationship) but me and him arn't in a relationship. i kina just want to know what the "symptoms" are or the signs of me being in love with him?thanks guys x

You know when you're in love. You just know it. You might be in love, or you might just have a strong crush. The only real way to find out is to really get to know him, and if possible date him. If it's just a crush eventually it will wear out. If it's love, it will last. But if it's love, remember you need to always put effort in. See if he will date you. Then you will know.

 okay every one has a different way of love and if you all talk alot help each other out and do alot of stuff together i dont see why not love has alot to do with trust also and i dont see why u don't try it and see if not let him know its best for u 2 to be close friends

It seems to me that you care about him alot.
There are no actual "signes" of being in love, which is one of the hardest things about love. But you will get small kind of feelings like Butterflys whenever you see him. Thinking about him oftenly, seing your future with him, Oblivious by everything else BUT him etc..
Although, dont get ahead of yourself. your only 15, you have alot to learn and live and "being in love" can just easily be a strong crush. Being a teen is the hardest thing, and most adults dont understand. Although, it is also the most funnest years of your life. so makesure you dont waste to much of your time wondering if your in love with him etc and have some fun being young!
