How can I re-fuel his interest in me without messing up the friendship??

Hi there everyone!

So i've been doing the agony aunt thing and enjoying it, but it seems this Miss. Agony needs help :-)

I'd appreciate your thoughts, everyone!!

So there's this guy i'm very close to. We're really good friends. I've had feelings for him for the past few months and he too admitted that he had feelings, but nothing happened. We haven't dated or anything. He said he had to push his feelings aside because he couldn't be with me (that's another story for another time!). That's not the issue though.

Lately I miss the times when we were in that state of flirting and you could practically feel the interest!!! :(

I want this guy! I really do love him and my feelings are strong.

So, this is my question: I don't know how to make him get back to that place of having feelings for me and i want to know how can i do that?

Also, how can i play hard to get or make him want me, but still be his friend? Like i said, we're really close and so i can't just diss him to make him want me because then the friendship will suffer.

How do i strike the balance - ie: how do i continue nurturing the friendship, but also make him want me again?

Please help! I'm in a bind! :P

Thanks

[Moderator's note: It is important that you tell us why he could not be with you, his reason is a very relevant detail for your case, please update! Thank you.]
