How can I overcome my anxiety?

Question - (14 December 2010) 3 Answers - (Newest, 15 December 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have really bad anxiety, especially with my boyfriend and mum. For example if my boyfriend doesnt text me back all day I am worried he has been involved in some sort of car crash or has been taken ill. I get very worried and call his phone numerous times as well as looking up online the news to see if there is anything about him, as well as crying uncontollably and not being assured until i hear from him. I also do this with my mum and other members of my family. I wanted to ask advice as to whether i should seek professional help or hope that it passes with time. Also any tips that could help me over comemy anxiety.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Thank you x

i get panic attacks too...

but uhm think of it this way...if hes dead...you knowing about it won change the fact that hes dead and you will find out eventually obviously...

also hes ignoring your calls bc you wouldnt have to call more than once if he wasnt...if you talked to him about it and he still does that to you ...its time to say goodbye
