How can I move forward with my russian girlfriend... My ex won't stop harassing me!

A male Australia age 51-59, anonymous writes:

My ex-partner and I lived together for about 14 months. We had a foster child who I got along with very well and my partner showed signs of jeolousy. My partner began to become a control freak and eventually the foster child escaped. My partner then started getting angry with me for no reason and she was like this for five months. I got a job with a Council and to my horror my partner also got the same job. I was given new duties after three weeks and my partner said to my boss that she would also like the opportunity so we ended up job sharing which annoyed me greatly. In October I tried to leave her only to be blackmailed into staying. She threatened to kill herself and leave me with two rents. I turned to find someone online as my new PDA was the only thing my partner was not able to control. I made a friend with a Russian woman and she gave me the encouragement I needed to continue on. In December, like the Foster child before me, I managed to escape, taking my dog with me. I moved into a new town while remaining in the old job. My relationship with my Russian friend was growing but I kept it very quiet at work. Soon my (now ex) partner began a friendship with the bosses girlfriend who also worked in the same department. Before long my ex was getting all the duties instead of them being shared between us. But I still managed to save enough money to travel to Russia and meet my friend. I returned home after three weeks and my Russian girlfriend and I are talking about our future plans. Meanwhile at work I keep losing out of duties to my ex and all training is going her way. I have just lost all my oncall work to her meaning it will be difficult to save for my next trip to Russia. I also find out that my ex has been keeping my mail that I forgot to have redirected and she has destroyed this mail! I think I am having to leave the area completely to be completely free of her. It is hard to talk to my boss about it as it is now connected to his relationship and also it does not seem right to me to talk about relationships at work, but my ex hates the job but she remains at work happy that she is taking things from me. How do I know? Little coments and big smirks my way as I discover what she is getting. Being a migrant I do not have the option of quiting as I have no safety net provided by the government. I wondered if anyone had any ideas as I wish to move forward with my Russian girlfriend and I would like for us to not be harrased by the ex.

ilovebowsandcherries agony auntwoow! i'm having a similar problem with an ex not the moving in though and luckily not working in the same place.

just try and get another job even if you don't like it save up for your trip to Russia and when you get there look for a job there and a place and finally get away from your ex.

if she's harrassing you tell the police i mean you can get a restraining order against her then set yourself away to Russia and live your life happily! and without her there!

change your number everything erase her out your life!!!!

this is doing no good for you because then you'll feel you'll never be able to live your life because even though you're not with the ex she'll still be in your life and you'll still be walking on egg shells with her and hoping she never tracks you down.

you need to do what's best for you and DEFINATELY get another job! and tell the police about her harrassing you and black mailing you into staying with her!

hope this helps you want to chat further pop me a message :)
