A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

There this guy i like, I think he is single aleast i hope so because if he is not single i will never pursue. But he seems to be interested in me always flirting and smiling saying hello. I like him too, but the strange thing is I am starting to have feelings for him. Can this be possible I hardly know him and speak to him. I would like to get to know him but i am extremely shy and nervous. So what should i do?

Sure it is possible, happens all the time. Same as the highschool story where the nerd never talks to the cheerleader but yet always liked her through the years.

As for what you should do, dont be so shy and dont worry so much and be yourself. If it dont happen like youd like it to happen then life goes on. I used to be really shy, my best friend was so talkative and everybody liked him. He told me dont worry about it and just be yourself, ever since that night and after my first relationship i am a much more talkitive and confident person.
