writes: My boyfriend was out with some of his work the other nite and some of them went back to one of the girls house. I looked on his phone and he'd a message in his sent items to her saying he couldnt stop laughing when he thought about her falling off the bed. What does anyone think - has he been cheating on me?? I don't know what to make of it :-(

Ask him what happened. It probably was an innocent thing, especially if there were lots of guys there.
Ask him to face and see what reaction he has - You can always from their face and body language if they have been caught out at something - Good luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (4 December 2006): If you really want to get to the bottom of this then you need to take a deep breath and confront him with it. Just say you looked on his phone, you are sorry but it's done now. Ask him in a very light and jokey way what it was about. If its serious then you will know at the way he react. If he shouts and protest and basically goes berserk then the writing is on the wall. If he is cool about it and there is a positive and logic answer then its up to you what you do next. I think a girl falling off a bed makes me think of anything else than the worse - sorry.

 They could have been sitting around in her bedroom and she fell off the bed drunk or whatever. It's not necessarily the case that anything bad went on. Having said that, you do have reason to wonder what happened...
Of course you shouldn't have looked on his phone! Naughty! Now look at the mess you've got yourself into.
I suggest you tell him you looked on his phone (you being honest), apologise for doing it, and then ask him what the message meant. Honesty is the best policy, especially when you are asking for honesty from him.
