writes:I'm 20 years old and officially late for my period.. I was due on saturday, and am usually very regular. Me and my fiance have been trying for a baby but it hasn't happened in 6 months of trying. I was beginning to assume that he had something wrong with his sperm due to years of drug/alcohol abuse (not now though) but after having lots of sex through my ovulation dates, i'm late, but yet i've got period like pains in my abdomin. But for the last couple of days i've been very constipated, (which i've never experienced before) thus I don't know whether it's that orperiod pains? And it's really confusing me. I heard somewhere that it could be a sign of pregnancy, but I don't want to get my hopes up with it. Anyone who could throw in their two cents would be brilliant, thanks.

You're only two days late...any symptoms now are probably imaginary. I know you're probably excited and hopeful that you're pregnant, but there's no way for anyone to give you the answer that you're probably looking for. The only answer we can give you is: maybe yes and maybe no. Take a test, if you're late already it will probably give you a clear result. Good luck :)

reader, anonymous, writes (1 December 2009): u should go get a test and see if u are or not. and 6 months of trying,theres been loads of couples that have been trying for 2 years etc before they finally concieve. i was lucky,i had the contraceptive implant in,i got it out and was pregnant two weeks later, go get tested

i believe the EPT pregnancy test can tell if your pregnant up to 5 days BEFORE your missed period, as you i do not want to arise your hopes, but test yourself. Thats the best news i could give and Ive used that test with my girlfriend and it never failed.
