My boyfriend is scared of relationships and commitment but he got me a diamond ring for our 8 month aniversary. He says it's just a gift, and only means he loves me and nothing more. We are only 20. Could the meaning of the ring have a any other meaning?

Dazzerg agony auntI think you have to take what he says at face value. Obviously its not a proposal or else he would actually have proposed. If he is scared or shy of expressing his feelings verbally then it is probably his way of compensating for that, of showing you affection and how much you mean to him without having to verbalise that. Like I said....i think it would be wrong to look for any hidden meaning.
