writes:Hi guys. I'm nearly 18 with a serious problem. I've liked a friend of mine for nearly 2 yrs now. She is beautiful in the inside n outside. I asked her out but she said she didn't feel the same. We are slowly bein friends again. It's been a month but I love her so much I can't get over her!! I like her so much. I didn't see her for 2 weeks and I thought I was over her. I started talking to more girls, many were far prettier, but I found out the girl I liked has a boyfriend. I was shocked I felt sick. I spent whole way finding out who the guy is. But it was a rumour, I was relieved. This is sooo stupid! She doesn't like me and there's plenty of girls out there. Yet my heart beats for her! I saw a pic of her and another guy friend who likes her and it cuts me like a spear inside. She's in my head all the time. I don't seem to care how good looking my other friends are, I like this girl too much. Is there a solution??? Thank you

reader, anonymous, writes (11 April 2008): If there was an easy soloution to your problem my friend, there would'nt be as many sad songs about love. i know just how you feel.. it really sucks.. but you have to realise that it probably is'nt going to happen with her. be her friend, but you have to look at other options. the heart is a strange thing, and only time can help you deal with it.
