A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Okay, so I recently asked a guy out and he rejected me. I started crying and felt so depressed. Before I asked him out my friend told me he likes this girl since the 6th grade, but she has a boyfriend and goes to a different school. My friend encouraged me to give it a shot anyways, so I did but that ended up in a failure... So I signed on AIM that day and he started a chat with me, he asked me if I was ohkay, and I told him uhm..idk? I asked him if he would ever give me a chance and he said uhm.. maybe =P. I thought I had a little hope but as we got into the conversation more he told me "Honestly I dont think I'll ever like you like you. You're a great person, nice, pretty, and sweet. I felt a little sad, but I was glad he said I was nice and everything. I asked him if I could do anything to change that, and he told me "no.. I don't think so.. i'm sorry" I felt sooo depressed because I thought I had a chance.. I wish he would change him mind and go out with me! I'm so confused right now.. So my question is do I still have a chance with him or should I just give up and move on? some advice would help too, thanks sooo much!

I agree. I'd move on. He's already told you no and at least you tried. Now you can move on.

No. He doesn't know what he wants, and you'll get hurt. Best to move on. Don't stay hung up on someone who doesn't fancy you.
