He wished his ex a happy birthday on facebook yet has never even referred to me?

A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

hi guys, its another silly facebook question but just curious all the same.

would you be annoyed if your boyfriend of 8 months dedicated his facebook status wishing his ex happy birthday yet he has never once even referred to/mentioned yourself on his status, even on your birthday 3 months ago?

I've noticed that he referred to her a lot in his statuses when they were dating saying he missed her, was looking forward to seeing her etc, even in the first month of them being together. However he has never once mentioned me in that way, hes only put me in group tags. Is he ashamed of me?

I just want to see if other people would be annoyed or if im overreacting as im getting fed up with him always putting his ex before me and I was wondering if this is another example?

also should I bring this up with them or will I just sound crazy jealous?

No this is not crazy jealous and many women would nt. put up with this; this is naturally going to make any gf/ bf feel unappreciated and undervalued. Why should he always reference his EX before his current gf? There's no excuse that'll get him out of this one, sorry. Whatever he says, surely he knows the toll it must take on you- if you were always dedicating status' to your ex, would he like it? NO.,

Even if by some chance he doesn't realise this ( not likely at all) he clearly doesn't care about hurting your feelings. This would make anyone feel down, and for the record, I would tell him to bog off, cos it's not on! It's clear he's

1. Got strong feelings for his ex

2. Doesn't care about hurting you in the rebound process.

Get rid, you want your own guy xxxxx
