He wants me to go to a music festival where the tickets are over $100!

A female Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Simple question:

My boyfriend wants to go to a music festival this summer and I really don't want to go. Do I cave in and say yes to going or keep saying no?

Some of his friends are going and he thinks it'll be good. We've been to many festivals before but it's because we both wanted to see the bands/artists. This time neither of us knows/likes the artists who are playing. He still thinks it'll be a good day out. Reason I don't want to go is because the tix are over a $100 each. I told him that I don't want to spend so much money on something I don't care about or want to see. He wants me to 'think about it.'

I know this is all petty stuff but it's sooo frustrating! Only reason I'd go is to make him happy but should I?

Tell him to pay, or at least go half. If your dead set on not going then dont go.

Tbosse agony auntYou can only go if he offers to pay, otherwise $100 is so much money to spend on the tickets to watch the band you dont like

No, go because you want to go for yourself. Dont please someone. This is not good. Im into trance and one time I took my girl to see Tiesto and she was not into it at all and I was. I was like damn I wish I had a girl I could dance with. Id try to find a compromise here and maybe go to a comedy show togetehr or something else that happens in the summer that both u like and that it also involves going out! Good luck :)

CindyCares agony aunt Not unless you are rich.

An over 100 $ ticket for a band that you don't even like sounds to me not a good but an excellent reason for staying at home !

If he really wants you to join him.... he could always pay your ticket too :)
