writes: I have been with my fiance now for just over a year, that year has been so rocky. When I first met him he told me he was divorced and lived by himself. It so happens I found out just before new year that he wasn't divorced, that he was still married and living with her, but he left there to be with me. He has 4 kids to his wife so when she decided to try and commit suicide in the first week of us being together he obviously raced up there to collect the kids. He ended up going back there to make sure that the kids were OK and stable. That lasted a week and then he packed his bags while she was out and moved back in with me. We were plodding along nicely never argued or anything, then one day 2 months ago he decided while I was at work he would do exactly the same to me!! He has been back there ever since but says it is only for the kids. He keeps telling me that he loves me and that it was the bigget mistake of his life and that he is going to leave her again, he has even told his sister this. I am pregnant now and I don't know what to do, he keeps letting me down. Can you please give me some advise as I am going out of my head here

reader, anonymous, writes (4 August 2005): Dont know where you are, but in the UK the mother has more rights over children then the dad, therefore, you could probably get him to pay money to help brign up the children.
He sounds a loser, dont worry, you are better without him.

If he has already left and gone back, there is very little chance that he will leave his wife again.
Obviously, if you are pregnant with this mans child then you will have to maintain some sort of contact with him for the sake of the child, however, i think it would be better for you to move on with your life.
