writes: Ok, i'll try to make this as short as i can. I'm almost 16 now..i'm going to be a junior in high school and i still Can not get over this guy i've been dating on and off for about 3 years now. (since 8th grade.) we've broken up three times now and its starting to get ridiculous. What happens is he works hard to get me, and is the sweetest boyfriend..but after about 1 month he starts to have second thoughts..i've realized that he is the kind of guy who works hard for something (anything, not just me) and when he finally gets it, get doesnt want it anymore...The longest break-up we had was about 9 months and it was the only time i broke it off with him..He would call me only after him and one of his "new" girlfriends would break up. He finally got me to go back with him again and promised me it was the last break up..and to trust him..and that he learned alot in the 9 months we werent together...but just a week later..he says he needs to be single and admits to not ever knowing what he wants..i still am so in love with him..and i know he will call me in another 3 months or so from now telling me he is stupid and wants me back...How should i handle this..and what should i do?!  To me it sounds like your a back up girlfriend or someone he uses to get back on his feet so he can find someone else. You may be in love with this guy but all you are to him is a back up girlfriend that helps him get back on his feet after a break up. Pretty much the only thing to do is to buckle down and flat out tell him that your not putting up with his crap any more and also buckle down and don't take him back.
