I have a rule to never date or flirt with someone a friend has a thing for, its my personal rule but I imagine you would want your friends to extend you the same consideration. I mean wouldn't it hurt you if your friend stole your boyfriend or started dating a guy you had the hots for? And you especially don't want to ruin a relationship with a friend over a boy whose already taken.
You deserve more than this. This guy says what he thinks you want to hear, if I am honest I do not think he loves you, flirting with someone is not equivalent to love, he may want to bed you but that's about it. He has a girlfriend and if he really did love you or even just like you, he'd end the relationship with his girlfriend and honestly and earnestly pursue you.
Be firm with this boy, tell him you do not date guys who are already in relationships.
