 love is just a word..he could say i love you..as meaning as a friend..i have a guy friend who walked up to me and was like i love you..then i added as a friend..and we hug so yeah..it means nothing..probably

 Well you could take the hugging as just a friendly embrace, i hug girls at work alot, and it means nothing. But in this case its the i love you that goes with it that says it all here. You would not say that unless you really did have a strong emotional attachment to them.
