reader, anonymous, writes (23 November 2008): I'd say let him. Why hang out with someone who hates you and hates people for who they are? He doesn't deserve anybody and you deserve someone who loves you for who you are. I'm surprised he actually had the nerve to tell it to your face and the cowardice to just ignore you. I know it's a bummer but try not to see it as a loss, there are a TON of better people out there.
