 I have nick names for most people and it means absolutely nothing sexual. If all he does is call you "Bethy" and there is nothing concrete to back it up, I'd say you're reading too much into it. Additionally, flirting in itself, means nothing. People flit with other people (sometimes heavily even) whether they're single or married. It's normal and harmless.
