reader, anonymous, writes (4 September 2009): wow... i had exactly this problem with a guy i was in love with, but i was the girl who genuinely cared. basically, you need to ask yourself three questions:1) who do you like more?2) who would be better in a relationship?3) which relationship could you see lasting longer?if it is too hard to answer these questions, and you like both girls, then i would go for the girl who genuinely cares about you. even if you have stronger feelings for the other girl, feelings grow as a relationship progresses. and if you choose the other girl, then let the girl who cares down easy. the guy that i had experience with chose the other girl over me, but he was a real jerk about it. because trust me, she will get over it, but at the beginning it will really break her heart.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 July 2009): Hmm difficult actually.The one who messes you about could be just her way of flirting.Plus you like her so normally I would say go for the one who seems to care for you as it may turn out to be a long term relationship as the other girl who messes you about may turn out to be just for fun and nothing else or a short term relationship.I have no way of knowing what your future holds for either girl with you so I say go with the one who you like more.
