A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

are drugs normal? like, is it a part of life? is it not regarded as bad? or wrong anymore? if it ever was,

i was brought up to think that the usual, dont do drugs thing, but i know my uncle blood relative is on them (anphetamine, speed) and he was brought up that drugs are bad ...

my work mate said that he (my work mate not my uncle) used to go with a mate to the local pub go to toilet snort some cocaine come out buzzing and go round town and that he knows loads of people in my village that are using drugs like mcat and crap like that, even people that are friends with my parents that you wouldn't expect to be using drugs.

is it just part or society a way of life?

is not bad anymore? is it the thing to do? Because surely people who are using illegal drugs were brought up to know they are bad wrong and all that like my uncle yet the still use them why?

just curious thanks :)

C. Grant agony auntI agree with Aunt Honesty. In some circles the stigma around drug use has diminished, but it's just as bad an idea as it's always been. Bad for your health, bad for your finances, and can easily lead to a criminal record which brings a whole raft of consequences.

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (5 November 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntNo it is not considered as the normal thing to do and they are still bad for you. I have to agree that there are a lot more people using drugs that you would never expect. But they are still wrong and they are still addictive and killing people. They still do damage to a persons body and they are still dangerous no matter what people say. I understand that you are curious as is everyone else that is growing up but drugs is one area I would stay away from if I were you. A lot of people get curious and try it out and before they know it they are addicted and living on the streets because they have spent all there money feeding there habit. It is not a good way off life and they are begging for help because they are hooked and not sure what else to do.
