A male reader, ArmyMedic United Kingdom +, writes (18 April 2009):

ArmyMedic agony auntDepression is a horrible illness and you need to get professional help, your friends will find it very hard to help you with this as they don't understand how this illness affects you.

They will find that you can come across as self-obsessed and mopey, I know this isn't the case but it is very hard to stay friends with someone with depression, because they will start to feel helpless and not know how to make you happy.

Seriously speak to your doctor.
