A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I met a guy about a month ago, we'll call him Jamies. We really hit it off, laughing, joking, flirting, evreything. So we swapped numbers and chatted back and forth for ages. Found we had loads in common - we both work in the same type of job, hence how we ended up meeting in the first place, and we're both in to similar things and some similar backgrounds. Anyways, so really hit it off smf proprerly "clicked" and all that so we agreed to meet up this weekend. However, last week he went quiet and I haven't heard anything from him since. It's seems so strange because we were getting on so well before and now just silence. Has he gone off me?

A female reader, LondonBaby United Kingdom +, writes (8 December 2007):

There could be any number of reasons why he's gone AWOL such as illness or family problems so try not to be too harsh on him at first. Have you tried getting in contact since he has gone silent. It may be worth dropping him a text or mail, just giving him the opportunity to explain himself. It sounds from what you say like you have nothing to lose and you may get an answer so you know what you're dealing with. If he does remain silent, there could be all kinds of complications like he's in a relationship or an ex has resurfaced. I know it's tough but don't waste time dwelling on what might have been, you will click with someone else I'm sure and if he has just blanked you, is he really the one for you?
