Question - (12 August 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 12 August 2008)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together for quite sometime now. The relationship is going great, but I think he may be depressed. He is very withdrawn, wants to be alone all the time and hardly talks to anyone.

How can I help him? I feel like his depression is starting to take its toll on me, and I know he loves me, but for some reason I just want a little more than his distant personality.

A female reader, Emaz help United Kingdom +, writes (12 August 2008):

Emaz help agony auntAsk him if anything is bovering him and be sure to tell him he can tell you anything and that he can trust you

You shouldn't go telling anyone his problems if he tells you but if he doesn't tell you and says that everything is ok then say 'oh it's just that you seem distant lately' if he blows off the handle then he's probably hiding something but if nothing is the matter then he should comfort you or even tell you why he's doing this

The longer you leave it the worse it wll get

hope i've helped
