reader, anonymous, writes (20 June 2008): Its human nature. 2 weeks is long enough for her to think you are starting to "move on" so she reaches out to you again to verify if this is the case or not. Because you have not been mean or defiant, u have left the door open for her to do so. If she was to get the impression you were dating another, she would increase the frequency of her contact, probably even entertain wanting to do something with you. Although she broke it off, she wants the option of coming back. Its up to you. We all want what we cant have. She doesnt want you in the arms of another.

Man just leave her alone. She probably really loves you and because she is doing what she is doing she feels guilty. As long as you kee talking to her your pain will take longer and longer to go away.
