Hello,

My wife says she sometimes will dream of having sex with another man, is this normal? She says she enjoys it while in the dream, but afterwards feels guilty and sad for having dreamed that.

Dazzerg agony auntTo the extent it's normal to act out our fantasys and our subconscious emotions to a degree in dreams I would say yes. Some dreams are crazy and some are meaningful which is probably going to contradict what others are saying to a degree. However, they are reflections and like reflections give us a distorted picture sometimes. You say she feels guilty after the dream; to my mind that suggests less she wants to sleep with another man and more that she actually feels somewhere deep down shes not good enough for you (so, is in effect punishing herself by doing and enjoying something she knows to be wrong); so it could even be about buried insecurities that she has about herself and not about your relationship at all.

I have had my share of crazy dreams...last week I dreamed that my ex was still alive and being very abusive to me and my daughter...and in walked Angelina Jolie...toting her automatic weapon...and blew him away...talk about crazy! I've also had dreams about strange men. My two favorites were making love to Johnny Depp (I hated waking up from that one) and hanging out with the cast of Friends! lol, dreams are so hard to interpert, but they are just dreams and the fact that she wakes up sad and upset, tells you she is true to you!

Gosh, will you email my husband and let him know to pull his finger out?

Haha no.

If everything between you is great then her dreams are probably just dreams and nothing to do with you or your relationship.

I had a dream where I could control cats the other day. You have to just remember how crazy dreams are and how they just mean something completely different from what ever you think they mean.

Good Luck!! xx

"When was the last time you sent her a dirty text message about how much you just like to think about her in the middle of your working day?"

Pretty much everyday to be honest. I have a great desire for her and make sure to tell her that everyday. Am I overdoing it?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (24 January 2009):

Yep it's normal. You can't control what you dream and it doesn't mean anything as simple as wanting to have sex in real life. It's all strange and subconscious.

What you can do it is make sure that you are rocking her world and being romantic and that her head is filled with you and then she won't have to doubt anything.

When was the last time you sent her a dirty text message about how much you just like to think about her in the middle of your working day?

Good Luck!! xx
